사물 인터넷(Internet-of-Things: IoT) 기술의 확산과 함께, 교통·운송 분야에서 자동차 인터넷(Internet-of-Vehicles: IoV) 기술은 차세대 핵심 기술로 부각됨. 산업 및 학계는 향후 10년간 경제적/사회적 측면에서 IoV 기술이 상당한 파급 효과를 미칠 것으로 예견하고 활발하게 연구중임. 본 과제에서 제안하는 클라우드 플랫폼은 자동차 인터넷 환경 내 다양한 이해관계자(서비스 공급자, 자동차 소유자, 자동차 제조회사, 사회 등)의 IoV 정보 생산, 소비, 공유, 재생산 및 보급 등 다양한 역할을 지원하고 참여기회를 높일 것임. 이러한 역할별 참여의 확대는 자율 주행 자동차 및 지능형 교통 시스템 선진화에 핵심적인 기반이 될 것임.

With the proliferation of IoT(Internet-of-Things) technology, IoV(Internet-of-Vehicles) technology has emerged as the next generation core technology in the domain of transportation. The IoV technology will have a significant ripple effect for the next decade in economic and social aspects. Our research proposes a cloud platform which supports various roles such as IoV information production, consumption, sharing, reproduction and dissemination among various stakeholders (service provider, car owner, etc.).
